Mayor AJ Concepcion and Vice Mayor Lito Rubia distributed on Tuesday cash gifts to senior citizens who are celebrating their birthdays this month of October.

Rubia earlier said that the giving of cash gifts to senior citizens is a small way to make them happy during their special day.

He said the Sangguniang Bayan, which he leads is fully supportive of all the programs benefitting senior citizens initiated by Concepcion.

Municipal Administrator Tito Catipon said senior citizens who are celebrating their birthdays in a particular month are given P1,200 each by the Mariveles LGU.

He said beneficiaries are senior citizens with personal data including birthday registered at the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs. Personnel of MSWDO assisted in the cash gift distribution held at Mariveles Sports Complex.
